Growing confidence fuels pickup in Volusia-Flagler auto sales

Sales of new cars and trucks in the Volusia-Flagler area rose again last month, continuing a trend that began nearly 2-1/2 years ago. Area dealers reported sales of 2,988 new vehicles in August, up from 2,748 the same month the year before.
