YouTube clip of Brooklyn musician Andrew Kalleen being arrested for busking in the Subway has received over 1.2 million views. According to section 1050.6 of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's rules of conduct, "artistic performances, including the acceptance of donations" are permitted.
