Featuring 750+ DMIPS application CPU and 300+ million pixel/sec graphics engine for 2D graphic acceleration, BCM7228 lets satellite TV operators roll out advanced services and HD satellite broadcast transmissions via integration of Audio Video Coding Standard (AVS+) decompression. Chip also provides Conditional Access and Digital Rights Management security. Along with 1080p AVS+ decode and display capabilities, features include 16-bit DDR3 support and support for China DTH tuner/demodulator.
