Unlike standard HDMI Matrix Switches that rely on external extenders, Model HDMICAT-44-HDB has HDBaseT extension built into transmitter. It is also paired with 4 HDBaseT receivers that can be connected to remote displays using long runs of standard Category 6 cable. Each receiver includes independent zone remote control for selecting input source without having to go near Matrix Switcher itself.
