Hamburg Port introduces Europe's first SmartROAD

(Telecompaper) The Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) continues its effort to become a Smart Port with the implementation of Europe's first 'smartROAD', which aims to improve resource management, traffic flow, infrastructure condition and environmental management, using an Internet of Everything approach with real time data and analytics. Insights from the proof of concept will help enable Cisco, HPA and ecosystem partners to make a decision on a broader deployment of these solutions in the Port of Hamburg.
