Hamptons real estate market on fire in Q1 despite icy freeze

It was a frigid winter on Long Island, but the Hamptons real estate market was scorching hot in the first quarter. The median price for a Hamptons pad was the highest of any first quarter in a decade, while the number of sales was the most in eight years, according to a new report by brokerage Douglas Elliman.
