Used for safe initiation of explosives, pyrotechnics, and other electro-explosive devices, Shrike MkIV and MkV are powered by batteries that extend in-field operation, are more environmentally friendly, and are less likely to suffer from reduced capacity over time. Capacity-optimized, rechargeable NiMH batteries do not contain heavy metals and are less prone to lose max energy capacity when repeatedly recharged or after being only partially discharged.
