Your mission Responsible for the Engineering department composed of more than twenty Engineers and Experts Hardware, Software et FPGA, you manage and develop your team in terms of competencies and workload. On the basis of needs defined by Project Managers, you allocated necessary resources to the different project teams. You support Experts in the definition and deployment of specific engineering processes and promote project risk management approach within the engineering team. Definitely continuous improvement oriented, you encourage experience capitalization. Concretely, you develop an internal culture of openness and facilitate experience exchange between Engineers working at similar positions. You partner the Commercial Department in preliminary commercial contacts with customers, taking part to the technical discussions preceding new projects kickoff. Furthermore, you organize your Department in order to allow your team to contribute to the proposal process analysis of customers specifications, technical and programmatic definition, budgeting and global consistency verification. In parallel, your role also implies the development of technical cooperation with external research institutes and universities, in order to contribute to a constant technology survey and development. As well, you are responsible for deploying the strategic vision developed by the Management, concretely defining action plans and targets within your Department. Your profile Holder of a PhD or Master in Microengineering, Physics or Electronics, you also developed continuously your management skills and leadership. You show an obvious ease with human contacts, as well as a real interest in developing multidisciplinary skills HW, SW, FPGA. Openness and team orientation are part of your personality features, and you value other peoples ideas trying to build collective innovative solutions resulting of synergy effects. Thanks to a successful experience of minimum 10 years within a similar position in a hightech environment, you built a strong technical background that allows you to understand implications and specificities of complex equipment. You are also familiar with economic and financial aspects of your roles as a Department Manager. Oral and written fluency in English and French is required for this position.
