Historic Coke sign unveiling is Friday

Before the plaster came down on the side of a West Broad Street Building he owns in historic downtown Cookeville, Mayor Ricky Shelton was considering a mural for the space. "As the plaster came down, I could see the shadow of a sign that had once been painted on the side of the building, and as more and more of it was revealed, I stepped back and realized it had been a Coca-Cola advertisement," he said.
