(Telecompaper) Huawei Technologies said its sales revenue rose over 15 percent in 2014 to around USD 46 billion, helped by its increased focus on smartphones and enterprise equipment. CEO Ken Hu gave the figure in a new year's message posted on the company's website. At current exchange rates, the company booked sales of CNY 286 billion in 2014, compared to CNY 239 billion reported for 2013. Growth appears to have slowed somewhat in the second half of the year, after Huawei reported revenues up 19 percent for the first six months of 2014. The annual figure is still nearly double the year-earlier growth rate of 8.5 percent in 2013.
