A NOAA weather station at Cape Lookout, North Carolina, located inside the western portion of Dorian's eye, recently reported a 10-minute average wind of 63 mph (79 km/h). This is equivalent to a 1-minute sustained wind speed of 69 mph (111 km/h). A wind gust to 75 mph (120 km/h) was also reported. However, this weather station has not reported any data since 300 am EDT. A Weatherflow station at Fort Macon near Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, recently reported a sustained wind of 64 mph (103 km/h) and a gust to 85 mph (137 km/h).
