Our German activities grow at fast pace. To face our costumers high level expectations and needs, we are looking for talented profiles having relevant experience in Space systems. We are looking for a Hyperspectral Scientist. The selected key person will have to contribute to the consolidation of the hyperspectral IR level1 processing. This includes the development of IRS level1 products based on current and future EUMETSAT missions as well as by taking advantage of expertise from instruments from a given platform and multiplatform synergies. Moreover, the key person will support the IRS level 1 processing and monitoring, as well as IASING monitoring, through the provision of test data with appended quality assessment in line with EUMETSAT needs for operational use. Activities consists in executing tasks covering the following Activity 1 Hyperspectral IR level 1 sensitivity studies and expertise service Activity 2 Hyperspectral IR level 1 performances tools specification support and development Activity 3 Hyperspectral IR level 0 and level 1 test data simulation Profile Strong expertise in the hyperspectral infrared instrument calibration. Good software skills and experience in software configuration management. Very good skills in writing documentation. Significant experiences in the monitoring of the hyperspectral infrared instruments and products. Very good experience in scientific software development. Experience with development of modular, clearly readable and adaptable scientific software is required.
