BusinessGreen: IBM scientists have developed a method of dramatically improving the overall efficiency of concentrated solar power systems to 80 per cent. The High Concentration PhotoVoltaic Thermal (HCPVT) system developed at IBM Research's Zurich laboratory uses a mirrored, parabolic dish to direct incoming solar radiation onto PV cells.
