As National Network Administrator of GEARED - Grid Engineering for Accelerated Renewable Energy Deployment website, IREC is helping to facilitate and support efforts of Distributed Technology Training Consortia created by U.S. Department of Energy's SunShot Initiative. Goal is to build national framework for power systems training and curriculum that will grow the power engineering workforce. GEARED is also helping foster student interest and expertise in the utility sector.
