For multiple projects based out of our Darmstadt offices we are seeking IT infrastructure architects and Engineers. In these roles you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic multicultural environment looking to deliver state of the art infrastructure solutions for space and other clients. Tasks Your specific tasks will be determined by your assigned project manager at CGI. Currently foreseen tasks may include Specification of infrastructure solutions and services, Definition of future IT services and managed evolution plans aligned with industrial trends, Support to IT service Implementations. Profile With a minimum of 5 years professional experience you will be confident in defining, implementing IT infrastructure solutions in your specialist areas with a willingness to learn and expand your skills in line with industry trends and client needs. You understand the importance of excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and German in engaging with the IT stakeholders, both from the business and technical sides. Comfortable in a clientfacing role, you will have a keen interest in IT industry trends, maintaining a high awareness of future technologies that we can seek to offer to the benefit of our clients. You will have a demonstrated understanding of one or more of the following technical areas ITIL based IT service architectures, Linux OS RedHat, SLES Linux Knowledge of AGILE organisation structures and the management of IT projects therein, Kanban and Scrum. Modern cloud infrastructures, in particular private hybrid cloud utilising modern orchestration systems and tools e.g. VMware, OpenStack Public cloud providers offering e.g. AWS, Google, MS Azure, HarborCloud Microservices architecture and containerscontainers orchestration Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes. Tools and concepts for Automation and compliance Chef, Ansible, Puppet but also integration in cloud environments. Storage architectures e.g. NetApp, Ceph, Gluster, Swift, AWS EBSGlacierS3, SDS, Enterprise IT Backup concepts and infrastructures e.g. NetBackup, S3 backup, modern tape libraries.
