Our team of highly skilled Engineers and Technicians are working on site of our customer premises and offer first class solutions in an operational and international environment. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Hardware Maintenance Technician to support our service team at the European Space Agency ESOC Darmstadt. This role provides candidates the opportunity to work in a hugely dynamic and scientific environment, often at the forefront of space exploration and science. Tasks will include Hardware installations and configurations LAN connectivity, cable patching and testing Hardware corrective maintenance, upgrades and modifications Spare part and equipment inventory management Verification and administration of equipment deliveries Upkeep of configuration management system Extraction of error logs and other information for 3rd line parties Preventive maintenance and testing Electrical safety testing Documentation and reporting Requirements Applicants should have experience in IT hardware support, preferably in an operational environment. A good overall IT knowledge, including computer hardware architectures and networking concepts is expected, as well as being skilled in the use of common maintenance tools and software applications. Desirable ITIL certification would be preferable. DGUV v3 certification electrical safety testing would be advantageous.
