Polyester-cotton and 100% polyester yarn prices have begun to bottom out in India, rising for the first time in seven months. A new shift from 100% cotton to cheaper blends and polyester spun has fueled demand and prices. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices, and offering the latest trends of spinners' margins.
