Cotton yarn prices surged further in the past week in India, in line with a recent rally of cotton fiber prices boosted by heavy buying from the state-run CCI. Our weekly report covers fiber prices, including cotton, polyester, and viscose. A large number of yarn prices are also reviewed, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, 100% viscose, and 100% acrylic. Organic and BCI cotton fiber and yarn prices are available. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices to assess the latest trends in margins of Indian spinners.
