Cotton fiber prices have bottomed out in India, pushing up cotton yarn prices, although Pakistan eventually refused to import Indian cotton. Prices are falling on the polyester fiber and yarn markets by contrast. Our weekly report covers fiber prices in India, including cotton, polyester, and viscose. Many yarn prices are also reviewed, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, 100% viscose, and 100% acrylic. Organic and BCI cotton fiber and yarn prices are available. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), and Ludhiana (Punjab).
