Yarn prices are relatively firm in India, thanks to a recent rise of cotton prices and although demand from China is currently dwindling. With cotton yarn production expected to rise this year, prices could be pressured in the coming months. Our comprehensive review of Indian yarn markets covers the domestic markets in Ludhiana (Punjab) and Indore (Madhya Pradesh), with a wide range of products and counts, including cotton yarns (carded and combed), polyester spun, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose and polyester-acrylic.
