Cotton yarn prices have continued rising in the last week in India, whereas cotton fiber prices have stayed firm at their high levels. Profit margins are apparently recovering at spinning mills after yarn prices have significantly risen in the last six weeks amid a more stable cotton market. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose.
