Cotton yarn prices are still supported by foreign demand for fibers and yarns in India, due to the fall of the rupee this year. Chinese demand for Indian cotton yarns has surged and should be further boosted by the sharp fall of Indian prices in the past weeks in dollar terms. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose.
