Cotton yarn prices have ceased to rise in India, whereas most other yarn prices were falling. The coronavirus crisis has stopped export sales and shipments to China, therefore pressuring prices on the Indian domestic markets. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices, and offering the latest trends of spinners' margins.
