A small number of spinning mills have been allowed to resume operations in India, where yarn prices are falling in line with the small level in demand. Fiber and yarn prices could decline to lower levels when production restarts. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices, and offering the latest trends of spinners' margins. [ more ]
