Industrial wastewater discharged into Mississippi River

About 500 gallons of wastewater has been discharged into the Mississippi River at the Roquette America, Inc. plant in Keokuk. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources said the discharge happened between 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. Monday morning after a expansion joint on a condensate pump failed.
