Inflation in Emerging Countries (Monthly Report)

Inflation rates have slightly risen in February, in emerging countries. With the annual increase of consumer prices however staying at relatively low levels, central banks prefer lowering their interest rates and avoid a rise of the domestic currency value in dollar terms. Our monthly report offers a comparison of inflation rates in low-cost countries, with historical data available back to June 2007. Impact of currency changes vs the US dollar and the euro is also calculated to assess real terms of trade for exporters.
