Tasks Our Spacecraft Control and Operations business unit in Darmstadt, Germany, are seeking to employ Infrastructure Engineers that design, implement, maintain, and operate IT infrastructures for complex ground systems. The tasks of this role will include Design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of complex IT infrastructures for mission critical applications, Preparation of technical documentation, Definition of operations procedures, Collaboration with the client, users, and subcontractors. Qualifications Experience and Knowledge The successful candidate should have experience in designing and looking after the above mentioned systems and be confident interacting with customer stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Essential skills include University degree in Information Systems Engineering or equivalent, Excellent problem solving capability, Willingness to take ownership of matters and to drive them forward, Experience with the design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of IT infrastructures for mission critical applications, Indepth knowledge of Linux and Windows, Indepth knowledge of VMware products e.g. vSphere, Familiarity with softwaredefined networks, storage area networks, Familiarity with scripting languages such as bash, Perl, Python, Familiarity with RAMS analysis, Experience working in a multicultural environment, Passion for space and defining complex systems, Aspiration to learn and improve skills and capabilities, Fluency in both written and verbal English. Desired skills include Comprehensive understanding of the security of IT infrastructures, Familiarity with HP servers and storage devices, Experience working with space mission ground systems Interested?
