Our Space Navigation business is looking for an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join the team working on the prestigious European Galileo Navigation programme. This is an exciting opportunity and candidates will be required to be Security clearable and be available to work full time in CGIs offices in Leatherhead, Surrey. The Infrastructure Systems Engineer will be required to develop automation and to drive the automation of the implementation of the KMF project and future GSF project changes for the Galileo full operational capability FOC. Essential Skills Development scripting background Linux Administration SUSE Red Hat Networking e.g. working towards CCNA CCNP Scripting languages such as bash, python and powershell System level troubleshooting through a range of firewalls, servers and bespoke applications SC cleared or capable of obtaining this level of clearance Desirable Skills Hands on experience of producing configurations for firewalls, switches, routers Knowledge of Windows 2008 R2 2012 Linux including servers workstations DevOps e.g. puppet chef ansible XML XSLT VMware VCP Strong documentation attention to detail i.e. advanced usage of Word Excel Space project experience, especially working for ESA Galileo Cryptographic Security experience BACULA backup configuration and troubleshooting PAM LDAP authentication GRUB and Linux Kernel modules configuration SNMP Syslog syslogng and Rsyslog In possession of a full UK driving licence and prepared to drive overseas. This role will then be based full time in Leatherhead, Surrey and some travel to other European sites will be required. Starting salaries depend on the current level of expertise and experience. Our roles require Security Clearance to SC Level or a European Equivalent, so you must have lived and worked in the EU for the past 5 years, and be willing to obtain this level of clearance if you do not already have it.
