RHEA is currently recruiting an Instrument Team Management Consultant to support the LEO Instrument Team Leader at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities Your primary tasks and activities may include Providing support to the Instrument Team Leader and his Deputy in management related aspects Supporting and participating to instrument and satellite reviews, e.g. Flight Acceptance Reviews, generation of RIDs Ensuring technical coordination of the Metop instruments in support to the EPS Project Manager and liaise as needed with EUMETSAT Partners ESA NOAA NASA CNES Supporting EPS Project Manager for the MHS FM4 followon Supporting instrument related storagedestorage activities, reactivation and recalibration campaigns Supporting investigations and corrective actions related to anomalies occurring on Metop instruments on ground or in orbit Supporting preparation of launch campaigns, Launch and Early Orbit Phase LEOP activities and satellite commissioning Supporting generation and maintenance of instrument related documents Supporting preparation and maintenance of presentation material related to instruments Supporting control of the baseline definition of each instrument including evaluation of Change Requests, Change Proposals, Requests for Waiver Deviation, Interface Control Documents etc. Critically analysing instrumentrelated schedules of satellite activities Monitoring deliverables to and from EUMETSATs partner agencies and industry Maintaining instrument issues tracker Tracking actions on instrument related issues and support to close out of such actions Drafting correspondence to EUMETSATs partner agencies and industry Participating to meetings with partner agencies, contractors, internal, etc. as appropriate Supporting EPS Second Generation Programme for the instruments aspects Skills and Experience You must possess the following skills and experience University degree Background of at least 8 years in space hardware projects At least 3 years experience in project management positions preferably in the area of remote sensing instruments Knowledge of QA processes and procedures Experience of working on a collaborative programme between different partners Experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks with the minimum of supervision Good computing skills with a familiarity with Microsoft Office software Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, etc. Good interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in English knowledge of French being an advantage How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
