In my previous articles I covered the opportunities that arise from the world's population and urbanization mega trends, through its impact on future agricultural technologies demand as well as on energy demand. The next graph, taken from a UN assessment on the world urbanization prospects , illustrates that beyond the huge shift of population to mega cities, in the coming decades a new power is expected to rise: The middle class population, especially in emerging countries.
