Hunt Transport Services Inc. posted a better-than-expected 34% increase in profit in its first quarter, as the trucking company's intermodal business logged volume growth despite West Coast port issues. Analysts had expected clogged West Coast ports to weigh on J.B. Hunt's intermodal business for the quarter.
