Japan: Hot tropical nights increased 2.1 times over past 70 to 80 years

Asahi Shimbun: The annual number of tropical nights, in which the days lowest temperature never drops below 25 degrees, increased 2.1 times over the past 70 to 80 years, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. Such sweltering nights are also occurring frequently this summer in about 100 of the 927 observation spots throughout the country, the agency said in report released on July 12.
