JavaC Developer Category Information Technology City Leatherhead, Surrey, United Kingdom Position ID J08150499 Permanent Full Time Position Description CGI has recently been selected by Inmarsat to develop key Iris Precursor safety and security features that are required for future European air traffic management communications. Inmarsats existing SwiftBroadband will be enhanced with the extra reliability and protection required for safety critical air traffic management ATM operations. CGI is responsible for developing groundbased gateways that will enable the SwiftBroadband system to interface with the European ATM network and incorporate security measures to protect the overtheair communications link from cyber attack. The systems will undergo rigorous validation and verification tests to assure safety and security requirements are met, before entering initial flight trials in 2016. The project requires a team leader designerdeveloper probably career level 2 or 3 to work on new developments for the IRIS project. The role will include design, coding, testing and documentation, to exacting project standards. Candidates should be capable of quickly picking up new concepts working to high standards of quality, and to agreed timescales either independently or as part of a team. The responsibilities will include Analysing existing highlevel design and ICDs to derive detailed design documentation, Writing detailed designs based on high level designs of components, Team Leading and mentoring Following the agreed design documentation to implement the components, Write module component test cases Essential Skills At least 2 years experience of Java orand C development Experience of the development and testing lifecycle Experience of developing to stringent development standards Space, Defence standards etc Highly Desirable Skills SWING GUI Development Knowledge of C Nice to have Security IPSecIKE Google Protocol buffers Detailed design with UML modelling tool, ideally Enterprise Architect Tools such as JenkinsSubversionsTracDOORS Comms protocols Knowledge of XML At CGI, were a team of builders.
