KT launches 1 Gbps GiGA LTE service

(Telecompaper) South Korean operator KT has commercially launched its GiGA LTE mobile network, providing gigabyte speed to its customers, The Korea Times reports. KT says its GiGA-LTE service "can achieve a peak speed of 1.17 Gbps, which is 15 times faster than existing LTE and 4 times faster than the tri-band carrier aggregation".
