Kansas governor wants to cut subsidy program that benefitted Southwest Airlines

In October, Southwest Airlines was approved to receive a total of $6.5 million in state and local money through the Affordable Airfares program to help make up for the loss it experienced in its first months in Wichita. Gov. Sam Brownback wants to reduce state spending on the program.
