Kennametal offering 1,000 workers voluntary separation plan

New Kennametal president and CEO Don Nolan is giving about 1,000 U.S. salaried workers the opportunity to quit as part of his plans for revitalizing the Latrobe area tool maker. The company extended a "voluntary separation plan" to the group on Monday, asking workers who qualify whether they would be interested in considering leaving the company, said spokeswoman Lorrie Crum.
