To encourage a love of reading among children and families and celebrate the start of the school year, mobile literacy program Bess the Book Bus, sponsored by CITGO Petroleum Corporation, will stop in Oakland, Maine on Wednesday, September 9. Children in the Oakland community are invited to attend and choose free, brand new books from Bess the Book Bus at MAC's CITGO station at 7 Main Street from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. In addition to books, children will have the opportunity to receive other giveaways, including pencils, bookmarks, coloring pages, and drawstring backpacks, all courtesy of CITGO.
