(Telecompaper) Kim Dotcom, who founded the MegaUpload file sharing website shut down in January 2012, has launched Mega, a cloud storage service offering users 50 GB of free storage and featuring a sophisticated encryption system. After Dotcom was indicted for copyright piracy by a US court he promised that he would not start a MegaUpload-style business until the criminal case was resolved, AP writes. Although the new website also allows users to share large files, Doctom claims its encryption system will protect him from the legal dispute that entangled MegaUpload.
