Kokomo pioneer named to 2015 Automotive Hall of Fame class

Elwood Haynes, the co-founder of the Haynes-Apperson Automobile Company and producer of the first commercially built car in America, was announced as one of four members of the class earlier this month. He will be inducted during an awards and gala ceremony on July 23 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center in Detroit.
