Powered by internal lithium battery with no external power connections required, Series PT17 Digital Tach/Maintenance/Hour Meter keeps track of true engine rpm and running time for all types of gasoline engines. Operation of meter is triggered by ~5.7 ft shielded and external lead, wrapped around spark plug wire of engine. Since unit is triggered by spark of engine, hours and rpm display actual operation, which facilitates maintenance and warranty applications.
