La-Z-Boy profit rises 17% on sales growth

La-Z-Boy Inc. said its earnings rose 17% in the October quarter on stronger sales as the furniture retailer continued to add more stores. Shares rose 6.3% to $24 in recent after-hours trading as earnings from continuing operations, excluding items, topped expectations and the company raised its quarterly dividend.
