La-Z-Boy shares up 4% as profit tops estimates, raises dividend

La-Z-Boy Inc. shares surged more than 4% in after-hours trade Tuesday, after the furniture maker reported better-than-expected fiscal second-quarter earnings and announced a dividend hike. La-Z-Boy said it had net income of $19.5 million, or 37 cents a share, up from $16.7 million, or 33 cents a share, in the year-earlier period.
