Publicly traded dealers have been doing well in used car sales, according to their latest earnings reports. The nations largest retailer, AutoNation, reported that its retail used-vehicle unit sales increased by 9% overall in the second quarter, rising from 52,656 units sold in Q2 2014 to 57,370 units in Q2 2015. Looking at the first half of this year, the number is even larger 10.7% higher than the first half of 2014.
