Latest contract has Portland helicopter firm flying workers to an oil rig off the coast of Rio

A subsidiary of Portland-based Erickson Inc. will fly oil and gas workers to an offshore rig at the Polvo Oil Field near Rio de Janeiro under a new contract with HRT Participacoes em Petroleo SA. The two-year deal is the first offshore oil and gas contract for Erickson subsidiary Ari Amazonia, one of three subdivisions.
