Layoffs reported at UTC in Danbury

United Technologies Corp. laid off about 35 workers this week from its Danbury aerospace facility amid slower demand for its products, the company said Wednesday. "UTC Aerospace Systems reviews its business plan regularly to ensure that our units around the world are staffed appropriately to meet customer requirements," Dan Coulom , a spokesman for the company said in a statement Wednesday.
