Job Title Lead Software Engineer for Satellite Applications Post Description Software development of satellite applications primarily using remote sensing images of the earth, but also involving satellite navigation systems or satellite communications. These typically involve high performance backend processing systems and webbased user interfaces. Main Duties Partial or total development of an application, usually as part of a small team. Collaboration in phases of analysis, design of the applications, verification and testing. Documentation during the development phase and the final product. Education A university degree or similar is preferred. Professional Experience The required professional experience is 5 years development experience with Java, CC Familiarity with web frameworks 2 years experience leading a development team Other relevant professional experience is Development with other languages Working with user interfaces user experience Working with a Geographical Information System GIS Design methodologies Building Android or iOS Apps Database design and querying Web services development Technical Requirements Software Engineering Application deployment Familiarity with source control systems Language Skills English Speaking High ReadingWriting High Useful Spanish Speaking Moderate ReadingWriting Moderate Personal Skills Communication and collaboration skills Flexibility to work in new environments, new technologies or new types of work Others Possibility of working in other country for short periods of time a few days at a time
