Legislature to dig into child abuse cases

The Texas Legislature is back in session in mid-January and, as it happens every two years when they meet for 140 days, the lawmakers will have a long list of pressing issues to tackle. Although school finance, transportation funding, health care needs, border security and the growing demand for more sources of water top the list, it looks like the lawmakers will also have to deal with other perennial problems.
