(Telecompaper) Lenovo has announced the launch of a global wireless roaming service called Lenovo Connect at Mobile World Conference. Already a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) with 11 million users all over the world, Lenovo will begin rolling out the roaming service this month in China via a dedicated app for LeMeng X3 smartphone or MIIX 700 tablet users. After signing up they will be able to access Lenovo Connect to enjoy local pricing on internet access when they travel to more than 50 countries around the world. The company added that it's also working with channel partners to bring Lenovo Connect to a variety of Lenovo ThinkPad owners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa later on this quarter. The service will at that point be available in more than 110 countries, said Lenovo.
