Lilly beats 3Q profit forecasts, bumps up 2015 forecast

Eli Lilly hiked its earnings forecast for the year as the drugmaker cut costs, overcame a strong dollar and topped Wall Street expectations for the third quarter. The Indianapolis company said Thursday that it now expects adjusted earnings for the year to range between $3.40 and $3.45.
