Minister of Commerce, Trade and Investment, Dr. Olusegun Aganga, recently visited major sugar refineries in Lagos where he stressed the need for the production of very high pol sugar (VHP), the essential raw material for the production of refined sugar in Nigeria. The ministers statement is welcome and could even be considered as long overdue.
